Nisaba - collaborative editing platform
Lightweight collaborative editing.
This is a rather old project by now. Lots of things have changed, lots haven't. Nisaba uses `quill.js` which is Operational Transform. CRDT is definitely all the rage today; it's heavier but the field has improved and maybe enough?
Editing software is demanding: it should never crash or be unavailable. This makes it difficult to reach a version that is actually 1.0. Of course, I want to change Nisaba's architecture but that's in order to make it simpler and more decoupled; for instance, I want read-only command-line clients without javascript for automation purposes. I've been under the impression there is nothing that really aims to be very light, quick, versatile and efforless to setup.
Nisaba is the Sumerian goddess of writing. The previous name was "prose" but that was too crowded (the situation has actually worsened over the years).
