Supercapacitor-based DC UPS
A computer with an encrypted root partition will not come back up after a power loos without external intervention. I suspect my house "only" has around 99.99999% power supply uptime and it's enough for my home server (which serves this page) to turn off and require me to unlock it. I've decided to explore creating a supercapacitor-based UPS for 19V DC that can maintain a few amps for a few hundred miliseconds.
